Hyun Su Seo is an active performer and teacher of classical piano. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Washington and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the University of Southern California. She has studied extensively with celebrated teachers Robin McCabe, Antoinette Perry, and Soonja Kim. Along the way, Hyun Su has received top prizes from a multitude of national and international competitions, including the Golden Classical Music Awards, the University of Washington Concerto Competition, the Seattle International Piano Festival, and the Osaka International Music Competition.
Hyun Su firmly believes that music is a language that can be understood and spoken by everyone. It is an art form that accepts and encourages the uniqueness of all people, and one that is meant to be celebrated and enjoyed. As such, she strives to impart a solid technical foundation to her students so that they are free to express themselves when playing pieces that are both challenging and fun.
Outside of teaching and solo performance, Hyun Su’s enjoys vocal collaboration, reading, and hiking.
